I find these stones to be very shamanic, in that they tell a story to each person who picks them up.  Pictures of animals, elementals and plants can be found in their design.  In this way they make really good meditation stones or stones for shamanic journey.

Lately, as I have worked more with the septarian healing shield, I have found myself placing it on the solar plexus and letting it ground and center a client more in their body.  It is a really good stone to use when you are feeling scattered or out of focus.  Spend 5 minutes or more with the stone on your solar plexus/stomach area.  Breathe deeply and allow yourself to relax while the stone works for you.  It will revitalize and re-focus you in the present.
